お待たせしました！ジェレミーのお母様、アリソン・スコットさんへのインタビューです！ツイッターでの企画告知を見て下さった方はご存じかと思いますが、事前に皆さんから「ジェレミーママに聞いてみたいこと」を送っていただき、それを私が10個にまとめてアリソンさんにメールで送り、回答していただく、という形をとりました。「日本のジェレミーファンの皆さんからの質問」ということで、とっても丁寧に答えて下さいましたよ。また、「原文のままでも読めるように」とのお気遣いから、できるだけ簡単な英語を使って答えて下さいました。私の翻訳も併記しましたが、ぜひ原文も読んで下さいね！
This is my interview with Jeremy's wonderful mom, Allison Scott! Jeremy's Japanese fans sent me their questions to Allison, and I chose 10 of them. Enjoy!
1) About Jeremy’s programs, which one do you love the most?
ジェレミーのプログラムで一番好きなものはどれですか？
That is difficult. There are so many I love but for different reasons. I think my favorite show program is “Rhythm of Love.” My favorite competition program was the short Swing program in 2012. I love Exogenesis, but remember that we did not really see it during competition because Allen had heart problems and we were taking care of him and did not watch the program until the very end.
難しい質問ね。大好きなものはたくさんあるわ、でもいろんな理由があるのよ。私が好きなショープログラムは『リズム・オブ・ラブ』ね。試合用のプログラムは2012年ショートのスウィングプログラムが好きだったわ。エクソジェネシスも大好きよ、でも皆さん覚えてるかしら、私達、試合ではちゃんと見てないのよ。アレン（訳注：ジェレミーの義理のお父様）に心臓の問題が起こってしまったから、彼の介抱をしていて、プログラムを最後まで見られなかったのよ。（訳注：2012年全米フリーでのことです。アレンさんは今はとってもお元気です。）
2) Which Jeremy's past performance was the most impressive for you?
ジェレミーの過去の演技で一番感動した（印象的だった）ものはどれですか？
I think the 2010 US Nationals freeskate in Spokane to earn his place on the Olympic team was the most impressive for me.
スポケーンで行われた2010年全米選手権のフリースケートで彼がオリンピック代表の座を勝ち取った時よ。
3) If you are a choreographer, which music do you choose for Jeremy?
もしあなたが振付師だったら、どんな音楽をジェレミーのために選びますか？
I like it when he does funny programs. I would like him to do something not so serious after he is finished with his competitive skating. I love the serious pieces, but he is great at being funny.
彼が楽しいプログラムを滑ってる時が好きよ。彼が競技生活を終えた後は、そんなにシリアスじゃないプログラムを滑ってほしいと思ってるわ。シリアスな作品も大好きだけれど、彼は楽しい雰囲気を出すのがとっても上手なのよ。
4) What do you think about Jeremy's this season's programs?
ジェレミーの今シーズンのプログラムについてどう思いますか？
I have not seen the short program yet so I cannot say, but since Robin Cousins did the choreography and Jeremy loves it, I am sure it will be wonderful. I truly love the new parts that he and Yuka have done to Exogenesis. Stephen Jamail re-did the guitar section and it is wonderful!
まだショートプログラムは見てないから何も言えないけれど、ロビン・カズンズが振付をして、ジェレミーがとても気に入ってるんですもの、きっと素晴らしいわよ。ジェレミーと有香が作ったエクソジェネシスの新しい部分は心から素敵だと思ってるわ。スティーブン・ジャメイル（訳注：昨季フリーの編曲をした作曲家）がギターの部分を編曲してくれたんだけど、それが素晴らしいのよ！
5) When did you feel sure that Jeremy has a brilliant talent of figure skating?
ジェレミーに素晴らしいフィギュアスケートの才能があると確信したのはいつですか？
I don’t think there was ONE moment where we knew that. It was many moments that lead up to knowing he had a talent. The more important thing is that he loves skating and that was the most important thing of all.

6) I am sure that Jeremy loves all of your cooking, but do you think which one he loves the most?

HAHAHA!!! He is a much better cook than I am! I cannot think of any one thing I cook that he misses having. His dad (Danny) made cinnamon roles that both of the children loved. If he misses any cooking, it would be that.

7) What kind of person is Jeremy? What do you love the most about him?

Jeremy is a very kind and polite person. He cares about people and that is what I love the most about him.
ジェレミーはとても親切で礼儀正しい人よ。彼はとても思いやりがあるの。彼の一番好きなところはそこよ。
8) What was Jeremy's first word when he was a baby?
ジェレミーが赤ちゃんの時に初めて話した言葉は何ですか？
That was a long time ago, but I think it was “ball.” I remember that Gwen’s first word was “key.”
それはもう遠い昔のことだけれど、「ボール」だったと思うわ。グウェンの初めての言葉は「鍵」だった、ということは覚えてるわ。
9) What was the funniest story about Jeremy when he was a small kid?
ジェレミーの子ども時代で一番面白かった出来事は何ですか？
Jeremy and Gwen loved to get dressed up in costumes. We had a big box of costumes and they would both find the funniest things to wear. Jeremy liked to pretend he was in a play. That was always a funny time at our house. The funniest skating story was when Jeremy was about nine years old and he was in a skating show in Aspen. He was skating to a program called “Big Spender” from a musical named “Sweet Charity.” He had just learned his axel. He had a hat and every time he jumped the hat went flying off! It was very funny!
ジェレミーとグウェンは衣装を着ておめかしするのが大好きだったのよ。家に衣装が入った大きな箱があって、その中から一番面白いものを探して身に着けてたわ。ジェレミーは劇の登場人物のふりをするのが好きだったの。あのひとときはいつも楽しかったわ。スケート関連で一番面白かったのは、ジェレミーが9歳くらいの時、アスペンでのショーに出た時ね。彼は『スウィート・チャリティ』というミュージカルの中の『ビッグ・スペンダー』という曲で滑ったのよ。ちょうどアクセルができるようになった頃だったわ。帽子を被っていたんだけど、彼がジャンプするたびにそれが飛んで行っちゃったのよ！あれはすごくおかしかったわ！

10) Which present from Jeremy was the most impressive/precious for you?
ジェレミーにもらったプレゼントの中で一番感動した/大切なものは何ですか？
That is easy. When Jeremy was 7 we were at a competition in Vail, Colorado. In the skate shop there were some silver earrings of skaters. Jeremy wanted to get them for me. Of course, he did not have the money so I “loaned” him the money for the earrings. I still wear them. I will not take them off until after this last skating season is over. There are a few times I thought I had lost one, but I always found it again. They are the most precious gift I have. The other is a necklace Jeremy gave me from Vancouver. Of course he gave it to me two YEARS after Olympics, but it is precious to me and I also wear it all the time.
これは簡単に答えられるわ。ジェレミーが7歳の時、コロラド州のヴェイルで試合があったの。その会場のスケートショップにスケーターをかたどったシルバーのイヤリングがあったのよ。ジェレミーはそれを私にプレゼントしたかったんだけど、もちろん彼はお金を持ってなかったから、私が彼にイヤリング代を「貸して」あげたの。私は今でもそれを身に着けてるわ。彼の最後のシーズンが終わるまでは外さないつもりよ。片方をなくしちゃったと思った時が何度かあったんだけど、いつもちゃんと見つかったのよ。これが一番大切なプレゼントね。ジェレミーがバンクーバーで買ってきてくれたネックレスも大切にしてるわ。彼ったらオリンピックから2年も経ってから私にくれたんだけど、とっても大切だし、これも肌身離さず身に着けてるのよ。
