What was it like growing up as a figure skater in a hockey and skiing town?
It was little tough and I got teased quite a bit. But as I progressed, when I made my first junior nationals, all my classmates thought it was the coolest thing. They were like, ‘Oh, you're really good.' I was like, ‘Well, yeah, I'm not doing this because I suck and I do it because I love it.' It was worth it of endure the teasing to get to the point that I'm at now. It really- it tested my love for this sport. There certainly were times where I was like, ‘Is this all worth it?' And it was like, ‘Yeah, you know, it is worth it, because I know that some day that I will achieve my goals and that I will have success and I'll accomplish my dreams.' But having said that, growing up in Aspen wasn't this horrible thing. I'm very proud to say that I'm from Aspen.
